Introducing Community Impact Partners!

TRAVERSE City, MI, April 10th, 2018 – After ten successful years of showcasing local nonprofits and positively impacting our Northern Michigan community, Traverse Bay Region’s SwingShift and the Stars (SATS) will be supported by the newly created nonprofit organization, Community Impact Partners (CIP). The popular performance event series has partnered with 95 nonprofit organizations that have brought in over $3.1 million to better serve their communities. In order to ensure the continued success and growth of SATS, founder, Judy Harrison has established this new registered 501(c)(3).

Previously produced by High Impact Productions (Harrison’s entertainment and event production company), SwingShift and the Stars was helping facilitate successful fundraising for area nonprofits, but was missing a greater opportunity to tap into all available resources for community collaboration.

“SATS is a unique and fulfilling way for a business or individual to support the entire region. The wonderful participating nonprofits showcased on the SATS platform expand their donor base, increase exposure and gain tools for sustainability.” says Harrison.

Every dollar raised on the SATS platform goes directly to the participating nonprofits. With the creation of CIP, SATS will be able to continue this amazing, fun and exciting performance event series. CIP will ensure SATS’ commitment to helping organizations grow, learn and thrive!

Last season’s, Million Dollar Challenge participants, raised over $767,000 for 23 area nonprofits. The SATS team is busily working on the 2018 season, which will bring with it many new and exciting changes!!! For more information on how to get involved, please visit or call 888.447.8236.
